Solid brass chessmen both sides, one side is plated with silver. The pieces are spun so they look and feel like satin with felted bottoms, naturally heavy in weight. The wood in between is maple and walnut. The brass/silver parts have several coats of a finish on top so you will not have to polish the pieces. The wood and the brass parts are put on with a screw which shows the excellent craftsmanship of the pieces, they are hand crafted by Italian artisans in Italy. The chess board/cabinet is made of Italian marble each square is individually inlaid the board has 12 coats of a polyurethane on top to give it that beautiful shine. The wood around the board and storage area is Italian worm wood from Italy. This is a gorgeous set to leave on display in your living room on a coffee table, your game room or study. King height: 3 1/2". Board: 21" sq. Made in Italy.
